Measure & plan
Calculate how many sheets you need. Mark purlin positions.
Prepare the structure
Install purlins and roof batterns, ensure they are correctly spaced and level.
Add guttering
Complete the rooftop water management system, including downpipes.
Install roofing sheets
Begin at one end, overlap sheets correctly, and maintain straight lines.
Secure sheets
Use the appropriate screws in the correct positions.
Install flashings
Seal all joints and roof penetrations.
Wash down
Thoroughly wash down to clean off swarf (metal shavings)

Trimclad® offers several distinct benefits for roofing and fencing projects, including impressive versatility and a wide variety of colour options. It is a low-maintenance roofing option.
Trimclad® features a trapezoidal rib profile with subtle pan fluting that makes a bold statement for a modern look. As it is available in long custom lengths, many projects enable a single sheet to be used from ridge to gutter.
It certainly can, as a durable, weather-resistant roofing option that looks fantastic and requires little ongoing maintenance. Many insurance companies also offer discounts on building insurance for properties with quality metal roofs, as they are more protective and thereby minimise risk.
ZINCALUME® steel is silver-coloured, and features a protective aluminium-zinc-silicon alloy coating. It can be painted.
COLORBOND® is pre-painted ZINCALUME® available in a wide array of colours.
You’ll need to calculate your roof’s total area (via measurement – tip: sketch the roof, break it into smaller sections, measure and add these up), determine the area of each of your chosen roofing sheets, and divide the entire roof area by the area of a single sheet. Round up and add a 10% allowance for overlap/wastage/error.
