Fencing Installation Overview
Before you commence

Consider installation type
- If the ground is not level over the area of fence installation, the fence will need to be raked or stepped.

Frequently Asked Questions
COLORBOND® fencing performs exceptionally well in terms of durability, weather resistance, fire resistance, stylish design and colour options, ease of installation, visual privacy, and security. It is a cost-effective, sustainable, high-quality fencing material choice.
Steel fencing can last for more than 20 years. As a superior, premium fencing product, COLORBOND® fencing sheets have a typical lifespan of 20-30 years, even longer depending on proper installation, cleaning, and local environmental conditions. This makes COLORBOND® fencing a durable, cost-effective choice.
In comparison with other types of fencing, COLORBOND® fences are a mid- to high-range cost option. They may seem more expensive upfront than basic timber or other fencing types, but they are a much more cost-efficient option when considered in terms of durability, appearance, performance, and lifespan.
Most fences will require multiple panels to cover the required length.
Measure the perimeter of the fence to be installed, determine your chosen fencing panel’s width, and divide the total perimeter by the width of a single panel. Add 10% to this number; this is the number of panels we recommend. Roofmart can help you calculate your requirements accurately.
COLORBOND® fencing sheets are available in a range of fifteen (15) colour options – explore here.
