An easy-to-install and cost-efficient walling solution, Metroclad® is a wide-coverage cladding material manufactured from low rib, high tensile COLORBOND® or ZINCALUME® steel.
It is both durable and versatile, and comes in a range of COLORBOND® colours or grey paintable ZINCALUME®. Its subtle profile is ideal for use on rural, domestic, and commercial applications, garage tilt-doors, facades and fascias, soffits, and screens.
These sheets are fastened to a steel or timber support structure by pan-fixing adjacent to overlapping ribs.

Measure & plan
Calculate how many sheets you need. Mark purlin positions.
Prepare the structure
Install purlins and roof batterns, ensure they are correctly spaced and level.
Add guttering
Complete the rooftop water management system, including downpipes.
Install roofing sheets
Begin at one end, overlap sheets correctly, and maintain straight lines.
Secure sheets
Use the appropriate screws in the correct positions.
Install flashings
Seal all joints and roof penetrations.
Wash down
Thoroughly wash down to clean off swarf (metal shavings)

Metroclad® corrugated steel has a flattish, low-rib profile that provides a sleek, contemporary appearance for walls.
Not only is Metroclad® a durable, corrosion-resistant, and weather-resistant material option for roofs and wall facades, but it also offers distinct benefits in terms of being non-combustable. It will not ignite, nor will it contribute to the spread of flames in a fire. This makes it a wise addition to your property, especially in high-occupancy or bushfire-prone areas. Cladding your property with the right COLORBOND® or ZINCALUME® steel sheeting products may also help reduce your insurance premiums.
ZINCALUME® steel is silver-coloured, and features a protective aluminium-zinc-silicon alloy coating. It can be painted.
COLORBOND® is pre-painted ZINCALUME® available in a wide array of colours.
You’ll need to calculate your roof’s total area (via measurement – tip: sketch the roof, break it into smaller sections, measure and add these up), determine the area of each of your chosen roofing sheets, and divide the entire roof area by the area of a single sheet. Round up and add a 10% allowance for overlap/wastage/error.
ZINCALUME® corrugated roofing comes in a standard grey colour; this sheeting can be painted. COLORBOND® corrugated roofing is available in 22 steel core classic and contemporary colours. There are also 6 colours available in a premium matt finish.
